Proposition KNP (Knob Noster Pride): On the Ballot August 5, 2025
On August 5, 2025, Knob Noster voters will consider Proposition KNP (Knob Noster Pride) — a proposed 30 cent tax levy increase designed to support key components of the new Knob Noster High School campus.
In May 2025, the Knob Noster Board of Education voted to place this initiative on the ballot. If approved, Proposition KNP will generate approximately $5 million total (about $240,000 annually). These local funds will cover roughly 7% of the total project cost, with the remaining 93% funded through federal grants, Impact Aid, and other secured sources.
Passing Proposition KNP will allow the district to restore important pieces of the new high school project that were removed after the April 2024 election. These include:
-
Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Building Trades supplemental facilities
-
A dedicated three-mat Wrestling Practice Facility
-
Eight-lane High School Track
-
Turf Football Field
-
Stadium
-
Youth Sports Fields, including the refurbishment of Miller Field
In addition, Proposition KNP will help protect the district’s eligibility for annual Heavily Impacted Impact Aid payments—a critical funding stream—for the next 10 years.
This is a long-term investment in our students, schools, and community. Stay informed and vote on August 5, 2025.
